Butterick dress pattern 3407 from 1985 in size 8-10-12. A-line dress, mid-calf or below mid-calf, has collar and band in one, extended shoulders, shoulder pads, front and back pleated (underlays) into yoke with forward shoulder seams, and long sleeves pleated and gathered into button cuffs. Purchased flower and belt.Suggested fabrics: lightweight woolens, crepe de chine, challis, lightweight broadcloth and tissue faille for dress. Crepe de chine and satin for tie.
I love view B, but maybe that's just me. The pattern calls for 1/4 inch shoulder pads, but they sure look bigger when the dress is worked up. That's from the extended shoulders. This is a super look for women with a large bust. The shoulders kind of balance everything out and make you look curvy, not slouchy. Very classy pattern!
I bought this pattern secondhand. The envelope is damaged as shown, and the pattern is uncut, factory folded, and includes directions.
Please send me any questions you may have, and thanks for looking.
