McCall's suit pattern 6725 from 1979 - skirt, pants, and jacket by Carole Little in size 14 (bust 36). Fitted, buttoned jacket with shaped seaming has notched collar, two-pieced sleeves, patch pocket, optional purchased belt. Straight skirt has left side zipper and vent. Tapered pants have front zipper and belt carriers.
This suit is timelessly awesome. Carole Little has been designing for years, and she is known for her wearable clothes for working women. She has even designed for a couple of Academy Awards shows. I guess those women are working too, huh? But maybe their jobs are just a little more glamorous than yours or mine! Here is your chance to shine, wearing a suit Carole Little designed when she was just getting her career started with saint-tropez west, a company she started with her husband in 1975. But you can make these clothes now, with modern fabrics. Or pick up some vintage cloth and trims and go retro.
Suggested fabrics: Lightweight wool, flannel, wool or synthetic gabardine, linen, pinwale corduroy, chino. Jacket - also terry cloth, velour, mohair, boucle.
I bought this pattern secondhand. The envelope is damaged as shown, and the pattern is uncut, factory folded, and includes directions.
