Here is a piece of leftover upholstery/drapery fabric with a palm tree design. Can I call this a twill brocade? It's not silky, but it's a complex woven design, with layers of palm trees. The background is a medium tan color, with subtle light beige palm trees woven in. Then on top of all that, we have olive and dark green palm trees.
The fabric is a one-way design. Usually we measure the width of the fabric from selvage to selvage, and measuring that way, this piece is 52 inches wide and 18 inches long.
For practical purposes, you would want the palm trees to be standing up. So if you turn the fabric the way you use it, it measures 18 inches tall and 52 inches wide.
There's a little extra fabric in there too because this piece is a leftover from someone else's project. My description is confusing enough, so I won't describe the dimensions of that extra fabric. (But you could make half a pillow no problem.)
There is some damage to the fabric right along the selvages. It looks like someone grabbed the fabric at the selvages and pulled super hard, and the last couple of inches on each side is unraveled. I included only the nice parts of the fabric in my measurements.
If you love this fabric but are having trouble getting started on a project, the last photo shows it with a couple of nice decor fabrics that I will have for sale here. They all have palm trees, and they're different enough to avoid being overly matchy-matchy.
Once I have those listed, I'll hop back and put their titles here so that you can order them together if you like to save some money on shipping.
OK, here they are:
