Years ago, my son loved to play on the computer. His favorite game was not your typical game though. He enjoyed waiting until I wasn't watching, and then taking all the keys off the keyboard and throwing them around the room. He tossed the keys down the air conditioner vents. One time I found a W key in the spaghetti sauce. Sometimes he flushed them down the toilet too, and for some reason he liked putting the B button in his belly button.

Every time I shopped the thrift stores, I scoured the place for spare keyboards. I collected quite a few and that was good, because he destroyed a lot of keyboards.

Eventually he outgrew this little game and I still had a pretty good sized stash of keyboards in the attic.

We recently cleaned out some of the junk in the attic and decided that maybe you would like to buy a keyboard or two.

This is what I will call keyboard #3, an old IBM KB 9910 keyboard with a PS/2 connector. I tested it on an old computer we have and everything electronic seems to be in good working order. The keys make a clicking sound, but it's not an official clicky keyboard.

There are a few damaged spots - one of the legs on the back is broken off, so you will not be able to prop your keyboard up unless you find a way to fix or replace it. On the same side of the keyboard back, there used to be a little rubber pad that kept the keyboard from sliding around the desk, and that is missing. Most importantly, the wire is damaged in several places and there is some exposed metal. All the keys work, so it has not affected the functioning of the keyboard, but for safety reasons you should fix that right away.

I wiped it with a sanitizing wipe before I tested it, but there is further nasty business between the keys, etc. It definitely needs a good cleaning, but I'll leave that up to you.

Please send me any questions you may have, and thanks for looking.
